Meet Our Founder – Yarenis Alonso, APRN, FNP-BC
Owner & Lead Provider at The Wellness Spot
Hi, I’m Yari, a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in healthcare—and someone who truly understands what it’s like to face personal health challenges. My passion for wellness is deeply rooted in my own journey. Having struggled with obesity since childhood, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to make lasting changes. But I also know it’s possible. I’ve lost 130 pounds and kept it off, and now I’m committed to helping others do the same.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide range of clinical settings, but I’ve always been drawn to personalized, preventative care—especially in areas like medical weight loss, hormone optimization, and IV therapy. At The Wellness Spot, I combine clinical expertise with empathy to offer customized, real-world solutions that make a difference.
Outside of the clinic, I live in Dade City with my two wonderful (and very ACTIVE) children, my amazing mom and our two energetic Frenchies. I love being outdoors, on the water, kayaking and spending time with family. Helping people feel their best—physically, mentally, and emotionally—is not just my career; it’s my calling.

Pricing depends on the specific medication selected (e.g., Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, etc.) and dosage requirements.
All medications are compounded with additional essential vitamins for quality, affordability, and access. Your provider will review all options with you during your visit.

You’ll receive a prompt evaluation by our experienced Family Nurse Practitioner, and if medication is needed, a prescription will be sent to your local pharmacy—where you can use your insurance to cover the cost of your meds.

Medication Refills – Just $39
Need a quick prescription refill? At The Wellness Spot, we offer convenient medication refills for only $39, covering up to a 3-month supply—no insurance required.
This service is ideal for routine, non-controlled medications such as those for blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, and diabetes management. Note: Most recent A1C lab results are recommended for diabetes-related refills.
We’ll review your health history and send your prescription to your preferred pharmacy—where you can use your insurance to cover the medication cost.

School & Sports Physicals – $50
Get your child ready for the season or school year with a fast, affordable physical at The Wellness Spot. For just $50, we provide thorough school and sports physicals that meet all state and school requirements.
Each exam is performed by our experienced Family Nurse Practitioner, ensuring your child is healthy and safe to participate in academic or athletic activities.
